What will EndiVerse do, exactly?

I got asked this question by a community member today.

IT IS A GOOD QUESTION. What will the EndiVerse do, Exactly?

Exactly, I don’t know.., I don’t have all the answers yet, but if you stick around and follow the story, you’ll start to see where I’m trying to go.

It’s really hard to build a community. Why would a bunch of people follow me? Do I even want to be the leader? Am I the leader? Who is if not the founder?

27 years ago, in 1995, I bought YourComputer.com I wanted to help people with thier computers, but I wanted to make money too! I setup a Q&A form where people could come and ask me questions about computers and I’d answer them. I was going to get rich displaying banner ads!

A few months and a few hundred questions later, While I did answer a lot of questions, I only made about 0.13 cents off those banner ads. It just wasn’t gonna scale!!! The wayback machine doesn’t even go back that far! In hindsight, a Forum might have been a better medium?

What could I have done differently? What would have made it more successful? Basically, a community.. Had I recruited a community of people to answer questions, maybe it could have grown well beyond my abilities and strength in numbers might have grown it into something bigger!

In 1998 I created WinTheBet.com. I wanted to try and figure out how to make a betting system for Blackjack and Roulette and beat the casinos!

I wrote some cool software that let users design & build thier own betting systems using Roulette and Blackjack here it is when I’d made it to v2.0!

I ended up selling WinTheBet.com to a traffic aggregator, I kept the copyrights and the software apps I’d written. I still have them if you want to try your luck!?

In hindsight though Win The Bet would have been so much better had i created a community where users could exchange betting systems that they had built!

• SECOND OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A COMMUNITY STIFLED…

YourComputer.com again…

I still own YourComputer.com. It is a great domain, but I’m not sure what to do with it at this point. I’ve tried so many things with it over the years..

Close to 2010s I gave YourComputer.com another shot. I was going to record training videos! like how to use this app or that app on your computer.. I could sell memberships, people would subscribe to learn about how to use this software or that software.

I spent 6 months, recorded a bunch of videos..

And proceeded to NOT SELL A SINGLE MEMBERSHIP.. Here is one of the old videos ;) I thought I did a good job, but apparently not!

In hindsight, what could I have done differently? What might have made it more successful? First, I should have posted all the videos on YouTube instead of trying to sell private memberships, and second. a better idea would have been to make it into a community and let other people help me make videos. Around that same timeframe, thats exactly with Lynda.com, Pluralsight.com and others did and ended up being sold for millions of dollars.. unlike my site.

Moving on with my career, I built some cool things, and I’ve developed some great software over the years. My “Development” folder has over 170 projects in it, from the last 20 years or so. many of them never even saw the light of day.

Enter the EndiVerse

So, here we are, a brave new world! The Metaverse is coming! I’ve still got a good 20 years before I’m looking to retire, so this is it! I’ve gotta stake a claim in the Metaverse.

• FOURTH OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A COMMUNITY … ???

So, what will the EndiVerse do, Exactly???

I want it to be a place where people can come and find templates, tutorials, utilities, examples, and talk with other community members, to make it easier to figure out the metaverse!

It’s not a place to advertise and try to sell our NFTs!

Helping each other BUILD this thing. Helping with technology, helping with tutorials, templates, etc… Watching each others backs, keeping the scammers at bay. I would MUCH RATHER we do this together as a community, than rely on Google or Meta to make the metaverse what the community wants it to be!

“It’s not a SERVICE, we don’t provide support”

I’d rather people host thier stuff on Decentralized services and Premium Services they pay for themselves. It’s the “gas up your own car” or “buy your own groceries” model! You get the cloud services, we’ll help you make them go! Some of the community members might even help you out!

The last part is LAND!!! VIRTUAL LAND is WAY TO EXPENSIVE!!!

So, the EndiVerse is gonna sell land too, so we can all participate. Do we really need to make money off virtual land? Do we have to make money off everything? I really get tired of Capitalism sometimes.

Without money, or Community, everything dies.

So, back to the question, What will the EndiVerse do, Exactly ?

I guess that depends on all of us?!?!?

I kinda see it as a conglomerate like Alchemist, https://alchemist.farm/

for the Metaverse though, a couple good products we can build together!

I’ve got some cool ideas that I want to contribute!

NFT.bot is coming! The provisional patent is done, EndiVerse will own it!

I’m really excited about this project, you’ll hear more in the coming weeks!
